6 topics planned

These belong in this path but have no chapter yet. A phase is only created once there is material behind it — so the count above is what the platform actually teaches, not a target.

  • Multi-control-plane HA: the control-plane endpoint, etcd quorum and failure behaviour — required before this path can claim to teach HA
  • Gateway API: service networking → Ingress → Ingress controllers → Gateway, HTTPRoute and GatewayClass → migrating from Ingress. The Ingress API is frozen upstream, so Gateway is the direction, but it is only worth adding as that full progression
  • Workloads in depth: DaemonSets, StatefulSets, Jobs and CronJobs
  • Configuration & storage: ConfigMaps, Secrets, PV/PVC, StorageClasses
  • Scheduling: taints, tolerations, affinity, requests and limits
  • RBAC, ServiceAccounts, Pod Security Standards and admission control

    Self-managed Kubernetes cluster on AWS

A kubeadm-provisioned cluster on AWS with Calico networking, default-deny network policies, Helm-packaged workloads, Argo CD reconciliation and a Prometheus stack. Multi-control-plane HA is listed under what this path does not yet teach.
